Excise Duties (Amendment) Order 2024

The Excise Duties (Amendment) Order 2024 introduces significant updates to the Excise Duties Order 2022 by incorporating new chapters that outline the imposition of excise duties on specific goods manufactured in or imported into Malaysia.


This amendment sees the addition of Chapters 18, 19, and 21 to the Schedule of the Excise Duties Order 2022, which details the goods subject to excise duties and the corresponding rates.


The goods covered under these chapters include cocoa and cocoa preparations, cereals, flour, starch or milk preparations, and miscellaneous edible preparations such as coffee, tea, or maté extracts and concentrates.


This new order also revokes the Excise Duties (Amendment) Order 2022.


This Order comes into operation on 1 March 2024.
